When Garver decided to expand into Northwest Arkansas, they sent U of A engineering alum Brock Hoskins to lead the effort. Hoskins, who had worked in the Little Rock office for nine years, became the regional office manager, then was promoted to his current role as chief operating officer and executive vice president of Garver. Hoskins has a strong relationship with the university. He is on the Strategic Advisory Council for the department of civil engineering and in 2006, he received an Outstanding Young Alumni Award from the college.

Hoskins explained that College of Engineering graduates make such great employees that even Garver offices in other states rush to hire them. “A big part of our success is because of the great people we’ve been able to attract, and a big part of that includes people from the University of Arkansas,” said Hoskins.
